The Nomads were assembled by singer/guitar player Tony Paglia. The Nomads, from the start, had a fiery passion and attention to detail that was unique and true to every note in their bodies. The Nomads are a versatile and real band that play together all the time and they have amassed a song list that is unheard of. Every night, and in all situations, this band delivers whether it be at a club, at your wedding, a festival or corporate event.
Supported by the best of musicians the Nomads have and can accommodate the musical needs for any type of event.
Whether playing an intimate show with his acoustic guitar or amped up with the full band Tony's soulfulness shines through. Limitless creativity in his arrangements and orchestration on stage allow him to constantly ignite his musical inspirations in every note played and every word sung. When younger, listening to Bruce Springsteen taught him the gift of words and the power of music and with that learning he brings those traits to every single performance, without fail.
When Tony Paglia first played with Neil Brathwaite he had an understanding that he had met the ying to his yang. Springsteen had Clarence Clemons and Robert Plant had Jimmy Page; Neil is our cornerstone. Easily one of the most unique sax players in the city and definitely there to fire up every audience, every night. He is our secret weapon. We still don’t know what the “Bee” stands for.
The rest of the band were thrilled the first time Steve played with us, it was like hearing rhythm for the first time. He is a force that demands movement in the right direction and a bright loveable energy that infects and charges the band. He’s played with the likes of Elton John and we are humbled to have him with us. He has also built an extremely fast streetcar.
Bob is a unique and energetic bass player. He always brings his “A” Game and is the perfect anchor to one of the best rhythm sections in the city. He’s the super charger of the bottom end and a valued member of this band. Funky is the word when it comes to Bob and yes he is a hell of a great guy and chess player.
Bill is a true to the core piano and keyboard guru. He brings vast knowledge and experience that fills the room with honest beauty. He can also pound out rock ’n’ roll with the best of them. Bill has also read more books than Einstien.
